Second man charged following drug trafficking investigation

A 40-year-old man is the second person charged with drug trafficking and firearms offences following a targeted investigation into drug distribution in the ACT.

The arrest follows an extensive ACT Policing investigation under Operation CAMPANIA, an intelligence-led operation targeting the supply of illicit drugs within the ACT.

Earlier this month, a 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, firearms, and proceeds of crime offences.

Police will allege the 40-year-old man facilitated drug trafficking in the ACT with his 42-year-old associate.

Following a review of evidence and seized mobile phones, the 40-year-old man was arrested at his home in Banks this morning (Wednesday, 29 July 2026).

Several firearms seized during search warrants earlier this month have been linked to the man.

Police also seized more than a dozen trading cards, believed to have been stolen from a store in Acton in February (2026).

The 40-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis, possessing a drug of dependence, unauthorised possession of 10 or more firearms, unlawful possession of stolen property, and other prohibited weapons offences.
