A 44-year-old man will face court today charged with 12 additional offences relating to alleged offending committed against junior employees while he was a retail manager at stores in Belconnen.
The man has previously been charged after he allegedly committed acts of indecency on two teenage girls in 2017 while he was the girls’ direct manager. He last appeared before the ACT Magistrates Court on 23 April (2026).
Following further enquiries, investigators from ACT Policing’s Operation Foster have laid an additional 12 charges in relation to further complainants coming forward.
These charges are eight counts of act of indecency on person under 16 years and one count each of common assault, reckless threat to kill a person, using the internet to deprave young people and supply liquor to young person at public place. Police will allege these incidents all occurred while the man was the manager of junior employees.
The man is due to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 7 July 2026).
Police are encouraging anyone with information about the behaviour of the man while he was employed at multiple retail chain stores in Belconnen Westfield between 2017 to 2020 to contact police on 131 444, quoting 6804503.
