A 17-year-old girl will face court today and a 17-year-old boy will be summonsed after they allegedly stole alcohol from a bottle shop in Holt earlier this year.

On 8 June (2026), the youth attended a bottle shop at Kippax. After the store attendant confronted the pair, they both fled the store before the boy returned, kicking the door open and brandishing a machete at the attendant.

He then allegedly fled once more with multiple bottles of alcohol.

Following an appeal for information, police identified the two people captured in CCTV footage as the 17-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy.

The girl will face the ACT Childrens Court today (Monday, 3 August 2026), charged with aiding in an aggravated robbery.

The boy will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Childrens Court later this year to face two counts of aggravated robbery, property damage, and possessing an offensive weapon with intent.
