A 32-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly groomed and took explicit photos of his young daughter.
Police will allege that over several years, the man directed his daughter to pose for photos while she was undressed.
The incidents were reported to police and yesterday (Thursday, 24 September 2026), officers from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team executed a search warrant at a home in north Canberra where the 32-year-old man was arrested.
During the warrant, police seized three mobile phones, locating suspected child abuse material on one of the devices.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 25 September 2026), charged with aggravated act of indecency on a person under 10, aggravated act of indecency on a person under 16, and grooming a young person.
