ACT Policing is investigating the death of a woman after a unit fire in Belconnen this morning.
About 6:40am today (Monday, 18 May 2026), police and emergency services were called to a fire at Osborne Place in Belconnen.
On arrival, police and emergency services located a 46-year-old woman inside the unit. Attempts were made to save the woman, but sadly, she was declared deceased at the scene.
The fire was extinguished by ACT Fire & Rescue and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the fire to come forward.
