A 26-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill his housemate on Tuesday evening.
About 6pm (12 May 2026), the two men were in the kitchen of their shared home in Braddon when the 26-year-old man shoved his housemate, causing him to lose his balance.
He then allegedly grabbed his housemate by the throat before picking up a knife and pressing it against his chest.
The man eventually released him and his housemate sought medical treatment for his injuries.
The incident was reported to police and about 9pm last night (Wednesday, 13 May 2026), the 26-year-old man was arrested.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 14 May 2026), charged with reckless threat to kill a person and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
