Witnesses sought to road rage incident

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a road rage incident against a learner driver in Gungahlin earlier this month.

About 6:30pm on Tuesday, 3 March (2026), a driver of grey Audi SQ5 with ACT registration YSP35Z began behaving aggressively toward the learner driver of a white Mitsubishi Lancer at the roundabout with Kingsland Parade and Clarrie Hermes Drive.

The Audi then appeared to deliberately collide with the Mitsubishi on Clarrie Hermes Drive. The Mitsubishi was forced off the road, but the driver of the Audi did not stop.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the driver of the Audi interacting with the Mitsubishi to come forward, including a witness who spoke to the driver of the Audi at the intersection of Clarrie Hermes Drive and the Barton Highway shortly after the collision.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and dark pants.
