Witness sought to family violence incident

ACT Policing is wanting to speak with a witness who intervened in a family violence incident in the City on Saturday.

About 4pm (7 March 2026), a man allegedly assaulted a woman inside a car parked outside the Lena Karmel lodge on Barry Drive.

Another woman approached the vehicle and spoke to the occupants before the man got out and the victim drove away.

The incident was reported to police and officers would like to speak to the woman who intervened in the assault. Police would like to reassure the woman that she is not in any trouble.
