A 21-year-old Moncrieff man has lost his licence after he was caught speeding by more than 60km/h yesterday.
About 8:35am (Sunday, 1 March 2026), officers were conducting patrols along Caswell Drive in Aranda when they observed a blue Hyundai Venue travelling at high speed.
Police radar captured the vehicle’s speed at 153km/h in a signposted 90km/h zone.
Officers stopped the driver, and he was issued with an immediate suspension notice, suspending his right to drive in the ACT for 90 days.
The 21-year-old man was also issued with two fines for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and not displaying his P-plates.
ACT Policing continues their ‘Anywhere, Anytime’ approach to traffic law enforcement and would like to remind Canberrans that speeding remains one of the five main contributors to fatal collisions on our roads.
