ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team (SACAT) have arrested a 40-year-old Mawson man following an investigation into his alleged sexual abuse of two children.
Police will allege that the man abused the two children at a residence in Wanniassa between January 2019 and December 2020.
On 25 January (2026), police received a report regarding the alleged abuse and an investigation was commenced.
About 12:40pm yesterday (Thursday, 12 March 2026), the man attended City Police Station and was placed under arrest.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 13 March 2026) charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with a young person, two counts of grooming a young person and two counts of act of indecency against a child under 10 years old.
