ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team (SACAT) has arrested a 32‑year‑old man following an investigation into allegations he sexually assaulted his stepdaughter.
Police will allege the man committed multiple assaults against the child at their residence in Molonglo Valley between 2022 and 2023.
Earlier this month (March 2026), police received a report regarding the assaults and commenced an investigation.
About 8:15pm yesterday (Thursday, 19 March 2026), the man was arrested outside Belconnen Police Station.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 20 March 2026) charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10 and one count of act of indecency with a child under 10.
