Two men and two women will face court today following separate family violence incidents across Canberra.
About 3:30am on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, a 37-year-old Bonython man allegedly assaulted his partner at her residence in Gordon, causing injuries to her face and chest. The incident was reported to police, and he was located and arrested about 4am this morning (Monday, 23 March 2026), charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A 38-year-old Whitlam man was arrested on Sunday (22 March 2026) after allegedly stalking and assaulting his partner on three separate occasions in February and March. He has been charged with assault, stalking, and property damage.
A 24-year-old Whitlam woman was also arrested yesterday after she allegedly assaulted her mother with a knife, causing minor hand injuries. She has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
In a separate incident yesterday, an 80-year-old Nicholls woman allegedly threatened her husband with a knife, threw items at him, and damaged his hearing aids. She was arrested this morning and charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, property damage, and possessing an offensive weapon with intent.
All four individuals are expected to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today.
