Police seeking witnesses to burnouts in Deakin park

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses, dash-cam or CCTV footage of a dark-coloured ute that did burnouts in a park in Deakin on Monday night.

About 10pm (Monday, 8 June 2026), a dark-coloured ute was observed revving and doing burnouts in the carpark and green space of La Trobe Park in Deakin.

A wooden bollard had been removed from the carpark, allowing access to the green space but it was not located in the area.

Anyone who witnessed the dark-coloured ute near La Trobe Park on Monday night, or has dash-cam or CCTV footage from nearby streets, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote 8411221.
