ACT Policing has charged a 40-year-old man following an incident at a City entertainment venue on Saturday night.
About 8.40pm (Saturday, 20 June 2026), the man entered a business on Cooyong Street wearing a face covering and approached patrons in the foyer.
He allegedly produced a blade and threatened to kill a male patron before holding the blade against his neck.
The 40-year-old man then attempted to leave the premises, forcefully kicking the door open in the process.
The incident was reported to police and he was located a short time later on Bunda Street still holding the blade, and was arrested.
The man, who was subject to bail conditions, will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Monday, 22 June 2026) charged with threatening to kill another person, possess offensive weapon, assault and affray.
