ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a metal sculpture at Lake Tuggeranong was deliberately damaged.
The sculpture sat on the top of a tall pole on a timber jetty on the shore of the lake - in front of the Tuggeranong Community Centre. At some point in recent days, the pole has been deliberately cut using an angle grinder or similar tool.
The sculpture was commissioned in 2024 and placed on the lakeside as part of ACT Government foreshore upgrades.
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the vandalism incident or anyone with any information about it.
Anyone who can assist police with this matter is urged to contact Crime Stoppers via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote 8454816. Information can be provided anonymously.
