Seeking witnesses to alleged threatening behaviour in the City

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a man allegedly engaged in violent behaviour inside a City business.

About 7:55pm on Tuesday (21 July 2026) police were called to East Row in the City following reports of a man causing a disturbance inside a fast-food business.

Police allege the man threatened a store worker and a customer.

Officers attended the business and placed the 53-year-old man under arrest.

He was charged with affray and will next face the ACT Magistrates Court on September 1.

As part of the investigation, ACT Policing is seeking anyone who was inside McDonalds between 7:50pm and 8:10pm Tuesday night to come forward.
