Police seeking witnesses to collision between car and scooter in Belconnen

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage to a collision between a car and a Vespa scooter in Belconnen this morning.

About 8:30am (Thursday, 16 July 2026) police and emergency services were called to a collision between a white Mazda BT-50 and a Vespa scooter at the intersection of Chewings Street and Belconnen Way in Page.

The rider of the scooter was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics before being transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash‑cam footage to come forward.
