A 29-year-old man has been extradited from Sydney to face sexual assault and family violence charges.
Police allege that during October and November last year (2025) the 29-year-old man sexually assaulted his partner on two occasions and destroyed property belonging to the woman.
The incidents were reported to police and following investigations, officers from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team arrested the man yesterday (1 July 2026) at a residence in Sydney.
He was extradited to the ACT and is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 3 July 2026) charged with sexual intercourse without consent - reckless, aggravated act of indecency without consent and aggravated destroy property.
