Great news Canberra, the missing 80-year-old that we posted about early this morning has been located safe and well.

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate missing 80-year-old man Peter Lang.
Peter has not been seen or heard from since 6pm last night (Wednesday, 8 July 2026) and was last seen at the Red Hill Shops.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with an average build and balding hair.
He was last seen wearing a navy jacket and blue jeans and may be wearing a beanie.
Peter is known to frequent Canberra Grammar School, Red Hill Shops and Griffith Shops.
Peter has dementia and may present as non-verbal if approached.
Police and Peter’s family hold concerns for his welfare, and are requesting the public’s assistance to locate him.
