A 37-year-old Braddon woman appeared in court via a bedside hearing today after allegedly stabbing a man on Monday.
About 3.30am on Monday (5 January 2026), the woman and a man known to her were in her residence on Lowanna Street, Braddon. She is alleged to have taken a steak knife from her kitchen and stabbed the man multiple times.
Police were called and arrived at the unit complex a short time later, where they located the man outside bleeding heavily. Police rendered first aid until ACT Ambulance Service paramedics arrived and transported him to hospital.
Officers located the woman inside the unit and placed her under arrest.
She was transported to the ACT Watchhouse and appeared remotely in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 7 January 2026) charged with attempted murder.
