A 37-year-old Braddon woman will be charged today with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man last month.
About 2pm on 2 January (2026), the woman and a man known to her were in her residence on Lowanna Street, Braddon.
The pair got into an argument before the woman allegedly stabbed the man with a knife, causing serious injuries. The man was able to flee the scene and seek medical attention.
A short time later, police received reports of a disturbance at the location but upon arrival, were unable to locate the victim or identify an offence.
On 4 January, police received further information about the incident and today (Friday, 20 February 2026), the woman will be charged with attempted murder when she faces the ACT Magistrates Court.
