Seeking witnesses to collision in Lyneham

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage to a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Lyneham yesterday.

About 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, 17 February 2026) ACT Policing responded to reports that a car had collided with a pedestrian on Ellenborough Street in Lyneham.

The pedestrian, an 89-year-old man, was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle involved, a 94-year-old woman, is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are urging anyone who has not already spoken to police, who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
