Seeking to identify man after child approached in Theodore

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a man allegedly approached a child in Theodore yesterday morning.

About 8:40am on Tuesday (24 February 2026), police received a report a man had approached a child and physically interacted with her while she was walking her bicycle on the Theodore playing fields (near Ern Florence Crescent).

Following enquiries, police are now seeking the public’s assistance to identify the man.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a tall, slender build, brown curly hair, and a beard. He was wearing black jeans and a coloured t-shirt at the time of the incident.

Police are urging anyone who can identify the man or may have witnessed the incident to come forward. This includes nearby residents that may have CCTV or vehicle dash-cam footage of the man in the lead up to or following the incident.
