Following enquiries, a 31-year-old man has been charged in relation to this incident.
About 7:30pm last night (Friday, 20 February 2026) police attended a residence in Ainslie and arrested the 31-year-old man. He has been charged with sexual assault in the second degree and breaching a good behaviour order. He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 21 February 2026).

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged attempted sexual assault in Ainslie.
About 1:20am today (Thursday, 12 February 2026), police were called to Duffy Street in Ainslie following reports that a woman had been assaulted by a naked man.
The man allegedly grabbed the woman from behind and attempted to drag her away. She was able to free herself and call for help.
The man is described as having a dark complexion and a short stature with a shaved head.
