ACT Policing is seeking to speak with a witness who alerted officers to a family violence assault on Tuesday in Reid.
About 4pm on Tuesday (24 February 2026), police patrolling on Doonkuna Street were alerted to an incident on Ainslie Avenue in Reid.
Officers attended and located a man and woman in an altercation. Police spoke to the man before placing him under arrest. He faced the ACT Magistrates Court yesterday (25 February 2026), charged with assault.
Police would like to speak to the witness who notified police of the incident but left shortly after to come forward.
