A 33-year-old Turner man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his partner on the weekend.
About 12pm on Sunday (1 February 2026), the man and his partner were at her residence in Turner when the man became aggressive.
He allegedly grabbed her by the neck and hair, punched her multiple times on her upper body and pushed her into a wall and table.
The woman sought medical treatment for her injuries and yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 5 February 2026) the incident was reported to police.
Last night, police attended a residence in Watson and placed the 33-year-old man under arrest.
He has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of aggravated common assault. He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 6 February 2026).
