Man dies following motorbike collision in Giralang

A 24-year-old man has become the ACT’s fourth road fatality for 2026 following a single motorbike collision in Giralang early this morning.

About 5:45am (Sunday 15 February) police and emergency services were called to Canopus Crescent in Giralang where a motorcycle had collided with the kerb.

Sadly, a 24-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the incident, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
