A 28-year-old Gordon man has been arrested after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence in Holt and was in possession of suspected illicit drugs.
About 9.30am yesterday (Monday, 16 February 2026) police attended a residence in Holt where a vehicle had allegedly been stolen.
About 5.40pm the same day, police were attending a separate incident in Lyons when the stolen vehicle arrived at the same location. The driver of the vehicle then approached police.
The 28-year-old man was subsequently arrested and searched. During the search police located two clip seal bags containing about six grams of substances believed to be illicit drugs.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 17 February 2026) charged with driving a motor vehicle without consent, possessing a drug of dependence and driving while licence suspended.
