A 29-year-old man will face court today after allegedly assaulting his partner, possessing a tactical stun gun and possessing drugs.
About 2:10pm yesterday (8 February 2026) police received information that a woman had been assaulted at a residence in Kambah by her partner.
Police arrived at the residence a short time later and spoke with two women, but the man had left the scene.
About 11:50pm the same day the man was located at an apartment complex in Kambah where he was subsequently arrested.
Police searched the man locating a tactical stun gun taser and 35 grams of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The man, who is subject to good behaviour obligations, is facing the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated common assault, trafficking a controlled drug and possessing a prohibited weapon.
