A 36-year-old Kambah man has been charged with multiple sexual assault and image offences allegedly committed against teenage girls.
In August last year (2025) a woman provided a statement to police alleging multiple sexual offences relating to incidents alleged to have occurred against her in 2021.
An investigation was commenced and earlier today (Friday, 6 February 2026) officers from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse team executed a search warrant at a 36-year-old man’s home in Kambah.
During the warrant electronic devices were seized and police will allege imagery of multiple underage females was located on two phones.
The man was subsequently charged with multiple offences including two counts of sexual intercourse with a young person, grooming a young person, supply cannabis to a child, five counts of using a carriage service for child abuse material, and six counts of possessing child abuse material.
It will be alleged in court the man used the supply of cannabis as a means to contact and engage with the young women.
He is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 6 February 2026) where bail will be opposed.
