A 41-year-old woman has had her licence suspended after she was caught drink driving with three children in the vehicle.

About 11:30pm Wednesday night (5 August 2026), police observed a white Subaru Forester stationary on Gungahlin Drive.

Police spoke to the driver who admitted to drinking alcohol. Three children were also in the vehicle at the time.

She was subject to a breath test which returned a blood alcohol content of 0.329, more than five times the legal limit.

The woman was issued with an immediate 90-day licence suspension and will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court next week charged with drink driving.

ACT Policing is targeting impaired drivers throughout the month of August. Police can test drivers anywhere, anytime and will continue to remove dangerous drivers from our roads.
