Witnesses sought to collision in Fyshwick

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of a collision involving a stolen car in Fyshwick on the weekend.

Around 1pm Sunday (2 August 2026), police received reports of a collision between a stolen white Volkswagen Golf station wagon, a grey Kia Carnival and white Jeep at the intersection of Canberra Avenue and Ipswich Street.

Witnesses reported multiple people fleeing the stolen Volkswagen following the collision. Two females were arrested at the scene but later released from custody pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the incident involving a white Volkswagen Golf with NSW registration DB51BO, or of anyone fleeing the scene of the collision to come forward.
