ACT Policing has charged two men following separate family violence incidents.
A 25-year-old Watson man has been charged allegedly making repeated threats to kill his former partner, her current partner and another woman in July (2026).
Police will further allege the man, sought access to weapons and sent a video via social media depicting what appeared to be a Glock-style firearm.
Police apprehended the man before later executing search warrants at a Watson address, where officers seized an airsoft Glock-style firearm.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 04 August 2026) charged with four counts of using a carriage service to threaten to kill, three counts of using carriage service to menace, and unauthorised possession/use of 1-2 firearms (not prohibited).
In a separate incident a 40-year-old Belconnen man has also been charged following an alleged family violence incident yesterday (Tuesday, 3 August 2026).
Police will allege the man assaulted and choked his partner, prevented her from leaving her apartment and took her mobile phone during an argument.
He later attended Belconnen Police Station and was arrested, he will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged two counts of chokes/suffocates/strangles another person, aggravated common assault and forcible confinement.
