A 19-year-old man and 17-year-old boy will face court after being charged in relation to an alleged burglary in Fadden and the theft of a vehicle.
About 3:50am on yesterday (Wednesday, 26 August 2026), two males allegedly entered a home in Fadden through a front window.
The pair allegedly stole several items from the residence, including jewellery, cash, vehicle keys and a Volkswagen Golf GTI.
About 9:20am, police received information that the stolen Volkswagen was at a car wash in Belconnen.
Police attended and located the two males allegedly in possession of the vehicle. Both were subsequently arrested.
During a search of the vehicle, police located several items believed to have been stolen during the burglary.
Further property believed to be linked to the burglary was also located on one of the males following his arrest.
The 19-year-old will face the ACT Magistrates court today (Thursday, 27 August 2026) charged with aggravated burglary in company and driving a motor vehicle without consent.
The 17-year-old who was subject to bail conditions and a good behaviour order, will fact the ACT Childrens Court today charged with aggravated burglary in company and driving a motor vehicle without consent.
