Man charged after allegedly threatening to kill woman

A 34-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman known to him.

On 29 July (2026), police received a report that the man allegedly called the woman and threatened to shoot her.

On 31 July, a search warrant was executed at the man’s home in Braddon.

A search of the man’s electronic devices located a video of him pointing a firearm at the camera and miming pulling the trigger.

He was arrested and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 1 August 2026), charged with reckless threat to kill a person, and using a carriage service to menace.
