A 24-year-old woman has been arrested after she allegedly attacked her mother and aunt with a knife on the weekend.
About 10pm on Saturday (11 April 2026), police were called to a residence in Narrabundah following reports a woman had attacked family members.
Police will allege the woman attempted to stab her mother but missed, cutting her shoulder instead.
Her aunt intervened and tried to grab the knife, but the woman sliced her aunt’s hand before she attempted to stab her as well.
When police arrived the 24-year-old woman had left the scene. She was located in Lyneham the following day and arrested.
She will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (13 April 2026), charged with two counts of aggravated intentionally wounding a family member, and one count of aggravated reckless threat to kill a person.
