Seeking witnesses to Franklin assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault at a Franklin shopping precinct in February.

About 6am on Sunday, 8 February 2026 two men were sitting in a parked car outside a cafe on Clare Burton Crescent.

An unknown man has approached the vehicle and opened the passenger door before allegedly punching one of the men in the face.

The man later attended hospital with serious facial injuries.

Following extensive enquiries ACT Policing is now urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.  Please quote 8305343. Information can be provided anonymously.
