Police seeking witnesses to Charnwood assault

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault in Charnwood last month where a man was hospitalised.

About 5:40pm on Friday 6 March (2026), a man was allegedly assaulted by another man outside the entrance of Red Rooster at the Charnwood shops.

The offender then left the scene in a white BMW X5, bearing ACT registration YSK72Y.

The incident was reported to police and the victim was left with injuries that required hospitalisation.

There were many people and cars in the area at the time and police are urging anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
