A 46-year-old man will face court today charged with multiple counts of stalking and breaching a family violence order against his former wife.

Between April (2025) and February (2026), the man allegedly contravened a family violence order ten times, by ordering and delivering unwanted groceries and takeaway food to the woman’s residence, sending letters and leaving items in the woman’s backyard.

The incidents were reported to police and yesterday (Thursday, 16 April 2026), officers from the Domestic and Family Violence Investigations Unit attended the man’s residence and placed him under arrest.

A mobile device was seized at the residence and investigations are continuing into possible electronic monitoring of the woman.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 17 April 2026) charged with ten counts of contravening family violence order and three counts of aggravated stalking.
