ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to three incidents including two ram-raids overnight.

About 3.40am this morning (Tuesday, 23 September 2025), a vehicle was used to smash through the front doors of the Ainslie Football Club. CCTV showed two people entering the club and attempting to access ATMs and other equipment.

In a second incident at about 4am today, the same vehicle was used to smash glass doors at the Myer department store in Belconnen. A metal roller door behind the glass doors prevented access to the store.

About 4.40am, police observed the same vehicle outside the Bonner shops. The vehicle fled the scene with two people on board. Police believe they were attempting to access the supermarket at that location.

Police are investigating if this morning’s incidents are linked to the recent ram-raid incident in Kippax.

Police believe these incidents are targeting Canberra businesses and shopping centres, particularly those handling cash and with ATMs present. ACT Policing is reminding business operators to consider their premises security measures to deter and prevent incidents such as these that are targeting access to cash

Anyone with information about these incidents or drivers who have dash-cam footage of suspicious vehicles around the incident locations early this morning is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
