ACT Policing is seeking information or footage of dangerous driving.

Police have received multiple reports of a black Holden SS ute driving erratically and dangerously on Cornelius Street, Coombs. The ute is known for being driven at high speeds in the area and doing burnouts.

Police are urging anyone who may have information regarding the vehicle, particularly anyone with footage of the vehicle driving dangerously, to contact police.

“This kind of driving behaviour poses an unacceptable risk to our community, putting the people, including children who live in that area in danger,” Officer in Charge of Woden Police Station, Detective Inspector Donna Hofmeier said.

“Dangerous driving will not be tolerated, and we are committed from removing these drivers from our roads.”

Members of the community can now submit a dangerous driving report online.

To complete the online form, you must be able to provide video evidence of the driving offence you witnessed when requested by ACT Policing. You may also be required to provide a formal witness statement to police and attend court as a witness to confirm the information provided in your witness statement.

Police will support witnesses through the court process, noting that many matters are dealt with by police without proceeding to court. The form is available on the ACT Policing website.

If you don’t have footage but would like to report information visit the Crime Stoppers website and quote 8161596.
