Thank you Canberra, the man we posted about last month has been identified. About 5:30pm yesterday evening (Monday, 6 October 2025), police located and arrested a 33-year-old man. He has been charged with 13 counts of minor theft and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 7 October 2025).

ACT Policing is seeking to identify a man following an alleged shoplifting incident at a liquor store in Woden last week.

About 1:30pm on Wednesday (10 September 2025), the man entered the store and took several bottles of wine before leaving without making a purchase.

Police allege the man has been involved in multiple shoplifting incidents this year, with the total value of stolen items exceeding $3,500.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, in his 30’s, with short brown hair, a medium build and approximately 170cm tall.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing beige pants, a white long-sleeved top layered with a grey vest, and white sneakers.
