Good news Canberra, the missing 13-year-girl we first posted about last week has been located safe and well.

Police are renewing their appeal for assistance to locate missing 13-year-old girl Janessa Williams.
Janessa has not been seen or heard from since 5:30pm on Wednesday (15 October 2025) and was last seen in Lyons.
Despite extensive enquiries, police have been unable to locate her.
She is described as Aboriginal in appearance, about 152cm (4’9”) tall, with a slim build, and long brown hair.
She was last seen wearing a black north face puffer jacket, grey and black track pants, black hoodie and white shoes.
Janessa is known to frequent Lyons, Higgins, Woden, Gunaghlin and Karabar. Police continue to hold concerns for her welfare, and are requesting the public’s assistance to locate her.
Anyone who has seen Janessa, or who may have any information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact ACT Policing on 131 444.
