A 31-year-old Narrabundah man has been arrested after he collided with another vehicle and fled the scene in Symonston last night.
About 8.45pm (Thursday, 30 October 2025) the 31-year-old man allegedly collided with the rear of another vehicle on the Monaro Highway in Symonston.
The man pulled over to the side of the road, allegedly exited his vehicle and fled the scene without providing his details to the other driver and before police arrived.
Police later located the man hiding behind a hotel on Jerrabomberra Avenue in Narrabundah and was given both a breath and drug screening test. Both returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and will appear in the ACT Magistrates court today (Friday, 31 October 2025) charged with drive motor vehicle with alcohol in blood/breath, drive while disqualified, use unregistered vehicle, numberplate issued for another vehicle, crash – not give particulars to other driver.
