ACT Policing has arrested a man for numerous family violence offences including forcible confinement and assault.
Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 30 October 20205) ACT Policing attended a residence in Hawker following reports that a man had assaulted a woman.
It is alleged the man forcibly confined, threatened and physically assaulted the woman multiple times, including allegedly biting and choking her.
Police located and arrested a 20-year-old Hawker man, who was subject to a Good Behaviour Order.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with three counts of aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of aggravated common assault, demands accompanied by threats, forcible confinement, chokes, suffocate and strangles another person and aggravated choke person and render insensible.
