A 23-year-old Chisholm man has been charged with multiple offences after an alleged aggravated burglary where a mother and son were threatened with a taser.
About 12.50pm yesterday (Saturday, 5 October 2025) the Chisholm man allegedly attended a Duffy home and threatened a woman and her son with a taser – demanding prescription drugs and cash. He allegedly forced the two people into a bedroom and continued threatening them.
He left only after they committed to try to secure prescription drugs for the man.
Police attended the Dufy home soon after and after speaking to the alleged victims and a witness, located a vehicle that the man had fled the scene in, at a different Duffy residence.
The 23-year-old Chisholm man was subsequently arrested and charged with four counts of forcible confinement, two counts of making a demand with a threat to kill, aggravated burglary - intent to commit theft and using a prohibited weapon without authorisation. He is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday, 6 October 2025).
