A restaurant owner and an employee will face court today after allegedly assaulting a fellow employee at a restaurant in Braddon.
Police allege that on three separate occasions in November (2025), the 40-year-old restaurant owner assaulted the victim multiple times, including slapping him in the head and kicking him.
On one occasion, a 40-year-old employee allegedly punched the victim in the head while the owner was kicking him.
On Saturday (22 November 2025), police received a report of the incident after the victim attended hospital to be treated for serious injuries as a result of the assaults.
Following investigations, police arrested the 40-year-old restaurant owner and the 40-year-old employee at the restaurant in Braddon yesterday (Friday, 28 November 2025).
Both men will face the ACT Magistrates Court today. The 40-year-old restaurant owner has been charged with four counts of common assault and one count of joint commission intentionally inflict actual bodily harm.
The other 40-year-old employee has been charged with joint commission intentionally inflict actual bodily harm.
