Telstra Tower thefts and property damage

ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public following a recent theft and property damage incident at the Telstra Tower.

On Thursday (1 May 2025) police received a report of an incident believed to have occurred at the Telstra Tower between 10pm on Saturday 26 April and 2am on Sunday 27 April (2025).

Police attended the building and collected evidence relating to damage and theft of items from the building including:

  • Four computers
  • Three uninterruptable power supply units
  • A computer server and switch
  • Two digital projectors
  • Multiple keys
  • A historic cast iron red post box

Significant damage to the interior of the building was also caused during the incident with initial estimates to replace stolen equipment and to repair the damage totaling approximately $200,000.

Police are seeking any information relating to the incident including the identities of five people who were observed in the area at the time.
