A 34-year-old woman will face court today in relation to sexual assault and incite suicide offences.
Police will allege that between 2015 and 2022 the woman was in a relationship with another woman.
In 2018, the 34-year-old woman allegedly told her partner she should kill herself, with the partner being admitted to hospital that day after attempting suicide.
Later in 2018 the 34-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted her partner and commenced threatening her via a messaging app.
In 2021 it will be alleged the 34-year-old and her partner got into an argument which escalated to a physical altercation with the 34-year-old allegedly strangling her partner.
In March 2024 the partner provided statements to police and an investigation was commenced, with the 34-year-old arrested at a residence in Belconnen yesterday (Thursday, 20 March 2025).
She was subsequently charged with incite suicide, sexual intercourse without consent and chokes/suffocates/strangles another person.
She is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Friday, 21 March 2025).
