A 30-year-old unlicenced driver who was wanted for other driving offences will face the ACT Magistrates Court today after failing to stop for police last week.

About 1.40am on 19 March 2025, police observed the man get into a stolen BMW 3 sedan with stolen registration plates at a petrol station in Gungahlin.

Officers directed the man to pull over but he refused to comply, almost colliding with a police vehicle and driving at excessive speeds as he fled.

About 3.40pm yesterday (Monday, 24 March 2025), police pulled over a Holden Astra and found the man in the back seat.

He was arrested and charged with driving offences including failing to stop for police, aggravated furious driving, and being an unlicenced driver.
